Expedition World is a website and specialist company dedicated to adventure travel and exploration. This website represents much more than just an adventure travel company; we have sections devoted to guidebooks and background reading, travel information, overland expeditions, trekking, adventure travel holidays and a worldwide photo library, where you can browse pictures from over two hundred countries. Expedition World is a forum for adventure travellers. 

We provide links to independent specialist travel companies operating across the globe. These  enthusiastic companies are unconstrained by the need to satisfy a financial master or shareholders. They are run by devoted people able to give that personal service rapidly being lost under the weight of the ‘bottom line’. Adventure travel is often unpredictable, limited by political upheavals and ever-growing legions of bureaucracy. What remains can be surprisingly rewarding.

Our Books page has a selection of guidebooks we have written, plus links to the publishers of the books. Pilgrims Publishing in Kathmandu has a vast array of books on every aspect of the Himalayas, India and beyond. Bradt are the publishers of the Africa Overland book.
